Aluminium for Architecture
Falkit® is a system for cladding all types of surfaces based on aluminium tongue and groove slats. Its simple assembly, variety of profiles and adaptability give it great versatility, and it can adapt to multiple uses: ventilated façades, canopies, fairings, interior linings, decorative panels, enclosures for estates, etc.
The wide range of profiles that make it up, the varied mounting options, the possibility of combining different slats and the multiple finishes give the system endless possibilities for use.
In addition, Alu-Stock has the ability to create new profiles for certain specific projects that require this due to their uniqueness.
Material | The system consists of extruded aluminium profiles, an aluminium sub-structure and stainless steel bolts and screws, the details of which are included below:
Supply | The standard supply length is 6,050 mm.
Depending on the assembly, it may be necessary to clean the ends of the profiles, in lengths ranging from 30 mm (lacquered), 50 mm (natural anodised) and 100 mm (anodised in colour).
To make sure the material is perfect for each specific project, it can be supplied in lengths ranging from 5000 mm to 7000 mm, taking into account that offering other measurements outside this range involves a surcharge for treatment if they are less than 5 m and that there is a functional limitation on them (size of the anodising tanks, ...) and on their transport. Upon request, cut slats can be supplied with the measurements necessary for each project, taking into account the number of cuts and the number of different lengths depending on the surfaces to be covered.
Finish | Falkit® System profiles can be supplied in three different finishes, namely a rough manufacturing finish, as well as anodised and lacquered finishes.
Standard anodising has a thickness of 15 microns, which can be extended to 20 microns in places subjected to a more aggressive environment, such as maritime environments or places with significant environmental pollution.
Important note: Anodised profiles must be free from visible defects on significant surfaces when viewed from a minimum distance of 5 metres in uses for exterior architecture and 2 metres for interiors.
Due to the variable composition of each extrusion billet, the anodising process itself and various factors whose variability cannot be controlled, differences in terms of the tone produced by the anodising process may occur. Therefore, the admissible degree of this variation in tone should be agreed in advance by way of samples.
The tone of the light and its degree of reflection on the profiles also have an influence on colour, so that assembly on different planes will produce different tones.
Range | The Falkit® System has more than 40 profiles divided into the following series, apart from the existing finishing profiles:
Certificates and tests | The Falkit® System profiles are tested by the Tecnalia technology institute, which demonstrates their response to external agents.
These are the results of the tests:
